Reprint of the Year Award 2024: Let’s Vote!

During the first three weeks of December I, along with nine other bloggers, have been trying our best to convince you to vote for our classic crime fiction reprint nominations. However now it is time to open the poll. Below are the 23 nominations, 3 of which were randomly selected from the titles put forward by blog readers. Last year most of the nominations came from the 1930s and 40s, but this year sees a slight shift as the vast majority of nominees are equally divided between the 1930s and 1950s. Only four nominations came from the 1940s this time. The nominations were reprinted by 10 different publishers and they are roughly equally split between male and female authors. Although there is arguably less variety within the female authors this year as both Christianna Brand and Ethel Lina White have two entries in the poll.

Important Reminder: Like last year you are allowed to vote for up to 3 texts.

If you haven’t made your mind up on which titles to vote for, then check out my Nomination 1 and Nomination 2 posts, as they also include links to all the blogger chosen books.

The poll is now open and will close on the 30th December at midnight.

It would be great if you are able to share this post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram (or if you’re very trendy TikTok). It would be lovely to have as many people voting as possible and see if we can beat last year’s total number of votes!
